Day Fourteen 2/14/2011

Today's focus was jewelry. Obviously, Aidan does not have any jewelry. However I though about a gift that was from him. As a single mom of a toddler, I do not get many cards or gifts from Aidan. Nobody ever thinks about taking Aidan out to the store and letting him pick out a card for me on holidays. Which is okay, I don't ever expect anything. This past Christmas my good friend Jessica went above and beyond. She purchased a necklace in the shape of a heart for Aidan to give to me on Christmas. Seriously this brought me to tears Christmas night. It was so thoughtful of her to do. The necklace has writing on the inside that says, "A mother holds her child's hand for a short while, but their hearts forever."
